STATUS — COMPLETE
Because the Earth is one giant carbon sink, removing an equivalent amount of emissions elsewhere in the environment has the same net impact as if your emissions never occurred. When you buy an instrument that reduces or eliminates greenhouse gases, you’re also creating a market that drives the development of even more carbon-removal projects.
A carbon offset represents the reduction, avoidance, or sequestration of 1 metric ton (2,205 pounds) of carbon emissions. It’s called an offset because it compensates for an equal amount of emissions released elsewhere.
All carbon offset projects we support are verified by our third-party partners to ensure they genuinely reduce, avoid, or sequester the amount of carbon they claim.
Here’s how it works with us:
Every time you make a purchase, our system calculates the CO₂ emissions generated from delivering your order to your door.
We then proudly purchase the equivalent amount in renewable energy credits, offsetting your order’s emissions — including the journey from our manufacturers in India to our warehouse in Toronto.
