Our sustainability promise.

Since 2015, we’ve been lucky to build a global community that deeply values intentional shopping. As we grow, so does our responsibility.

No greenwashing here—just real, measurable steps toward becoming 100% sustainable, from production in India to delivery at your door.

We’re not perfect yet—but we’re transparent, committed, and always evolving.

Step One: Sustainable Fashion.
STATUS — COMPLETE

We’ve been a brand from day one that refuses to follow the typical tradition of South Asian fashion — buying one outfit for one event, only to never wear it again.
All of our pieces are sold separately for two main reasons:

Endless mix & match opportunities.
Pair our pieces with items you already own, or build a wardrobe of staple styles that can be worn again and again — in fresh ways, for multiple events.

A smarter, more sustainable way to shop.

Not only is this more economical for our customers, but it also reduces waste and pollution in a big way.

And we’re not stopping there — we’re currently developing a program to reward customers who send back their gently used TSR pieces.

If you love the idea, drop us an email. We’d love to hear from you!
Step Two: Carbon Neutral.
STATUS — COMPLETE

Because the Earth is one giant carbon sink, removing an equivalent amount of emissions elsewhere in the environment has the same net impact as if your emissions never occurred. When you buy an instrument that reduces or eliminates greenhouse gases, you’re also creating a market that drives the development of even more carbon-removal projects.

A carbon offset represents the reduction, avoidance, or sequestration of 1 metric ton (2,205 pounds) of carbon emissions. It’s called an offset because it compensates for an equal amount of emissions released elsewhere.

All carbon offset projects we support are verified by our third-party partners to ensure they genuinely reduce, avoid, or sequester the amount of carbon they claim.

Here’s how it works with us:

Every time you make a purchase, our system calculates the CO₂ emissions generated from delivering your order to your door.

We then proudly purchase the equivalent amount in renewable energy credits, offsetting your order’s emissions — including the journey from our manufacturers in India to our warehouse in Toronto.
Step Three: 100% Compostable.
STATUS — IN PROGRESS

Plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental threats of our time. According to Greenpeace, “the equivalent of a truckload of plastic enters the oceans every minute.” Let that sink in.

While individual efforts (like reusable bottles or grocery bags) help, we believe real change starts with brands—especially in fashion. Choosing plastic when compostable alternatives exist says everything.

Here’s where we’re at:

Right now, 80% of our packaging—from garment bags to mailers—is fully home compostable.

Our goal?

To make that number 100%. We’re working to eliminate all plastic from our shipping and garment packaging. And we’re not stopping until we do. Because honestly? It’s the right thing to do.
